As with tradition, before NBA players report to training camp to focus on the impending season, they’re picking up good summer runs wherever they can find them. Jayson Tatum, the league’s third runner-up for Rookie of the Year, an award officially presented to Ben Simmons, got his reps in this weekend during a Pro-Am game in his hometown of St. Louis.
Tatum, of course, teammates with Kyrie Irving, laced up his point guard’s Nike Kyrie 4 “Uncle Drew” while slaying competition at the Patrick McCaw Pro-Am. Just as unstoppable as he proved to be during his breakout rookie campaign in Boston, the Duke product made defenders look silly in the clean white and blue Kyrie 4. Both pulling up from distance and dunking with extreme ease, Tatum’s sophomore season is one of the more anticipated in the league alongside Simmons and Utah’s Donovan Mitchell.
Nike’s Kyrie 4 “Uncle Drew” and other colorways are available now for $120 at Nike.com.
