Industry vet John Geiger has another GF-01 colorway on the way.
Though the silhouette, which was at the heart of a now-settled Nike trademark infringement lawsuit, has released in a handful of colorways, the upcoming John Geiger GF-01 “Misplaced Gs” is a physical representation of his journey and a continuation of his high-level craftsmanship.
Starting with a design 10 years ago and evolving into a brand that is going on year 5, embodies a testament to continued growth, resilience, and pushing boundaries.

The “Misplaced Gs” is an homage to his “Misplaced Checks” motif that took over the Internet a decade ago with a prominent release in 2015 during NBA’s All-Star Weekend.
From designer to a namesake brand, the John Geiger GF-01 “Misplaced Gs” is a full-circle moment for himself and his brand.
Having a design that changed the industry and lives on through today is important to me. That design became the ethos of my brand unintentionally.
My ability to combine textures and adding quality of textures together that aren’t usually on footwear is what I was doing at the time but didn’t fully recognize it until now.

As a direct derivative of Geiger’s obsession with materials and textures, the GF-01 features premium leather, snakeskin, and more on a clean tumbled leather silhouette that allows Geiger’s artistic direction to pop.
The John Geiger GF-01 “Misplaced Gs” releases for $240 on July 28, 2023, at JohnGeigerCo.com.
