Legendary sports photographer Chuck Kuhn captured an image in 1985 that will forever by synonymous with Jordan Brand and its namesake figure. The shoot, one in which Jordan wasn’t feeling the traditional “Banned” 1’s so he opted for his favorite personal colors royal blue and black, now stands as one timeless in sport and style.
The now iconic image dubbed the “Flight Guy” captured Jordan in a royal and black flight suit matched with the Air Jordan 1 “Royal” — the first Air Jordan 1 available for public consumption.
Jordan Brand today introduces the “Flight Guy” collection featuring both the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan XXX1. each are coated in sentimental Royal/Blue shades applied an elder sensibility and modern-day allure.
Both the Air Jordan 1 “Royal” and Air Jordan XXX1 “Royal” will be available on April 1.
