Get ready to spend your red envelopes on the upcoming Jordan Brand “Year of the Rabbit” Collection. The fully-loaded capsule celebrates Chinese New Year and features nine different Jordan Brand silhouettes. The collection also offers a range of apparel with a celebratory Chinese New Year emblem and a color palette that complements the sneakers.
Standouts from the collection include the Air Jordan 1 Low OG and the Air Jordan 1 Elevate Low, both of which are limited to 5,000 numbered pairs. The AJ1 Low OG has a mixed-textile construction dressed in hues of cream, grey, and brown, to represent the Chinese Zodiac sign. Other rabbit-like details include terry cloth liners, fuzzy laces, and rabbit motifs on the inside of the tongue tags. The AJ1 Elevate Low has a similar colorway with a rabbit-white base and overlays in pastel green and blue. The Swoosh is dressed in brown, while the heel tab pops out in bright fuzzy yellow.
The rest of the collection features the Air Jordan Legacy 312, Air Jordan 23, Jordan 23/7, Air Jordan 1 High Zoom CMFT 2, and Jordan Series .05. Each sneaker embodies the Earth zodiac’s natural hues in shades of brown, cream, gold, and red.
The Jordan Luka 1 and Air Jordan 37 prove to be other standouts as both sneakers feature a unique lace-like upper. Both pairs have red accents around the Jumpman, pull tabs, and Chinese New Year emblems on the tongues. The pastel green nods to Jade, a precious and virtuous gem admired by the Chinese culture.
The Jordan Brand “Year of the Rabbit” Collection arrives this January, just in time for Chinese New Year. Official drop dates can be found on our Jordan Release Dates page. Take a look at the collection below and follow @NiceDrops on Twitter.
