The tradition of MLB teams playing with pink bats on Mother’s Day has been around for some time. Players also wear pink gloves, sweatbands andother accessories. Derek Jeter one-upped everyone with these specially-commissioned Jordan Jeter Throwbacks.
Black patent leather adorns the base of the upper, while perforated nubuck is used for the remainder. The heel/ankle area shows a stripes pattern, with words and phrases important to Derek (and likely a tribute to his own mother) being used for the stripes. Pink is used at various points, including the heel Air unit, Jumpman logo and of course, the laces.
