When thinking back on Michael Jordan’s legendary career, many talk about the Chicago Bulls and even his stint with baseball, but for some reason MJ’s time with the Washington Wizards is a career triumph that’s often left out of the conversation. The Jordan Series .05 “Washington Wizards” is a tribute to his undying love for basketball, which was perhaps showcased the most when he decided to return to the NBA and play with the Washington Wizards after formerly retiring twice.
The upper of this Jordan Series .05 is entirely orange, made in part with suede on the toebox and leather on quarters. The side of the lateral panel is marked in blue with “Dear 2003,” nodding to the year when Michael Jordan finally decided to retire for good. The insoles are finished in blue, with one of the insoles reading, “Swing for the fence.” Jumpman logos are seen on insole and tongue tags, which also features the “Dear 2003,” motif. A white midsole and gum outsole complete the design.
The Jordan Series .05 “Washington Wizards” is already available overseas and should be released stateside soon. Be sure to check back with our Jordan Release Dates page for updates on the drop. For more sneaker news and updates, follow @NiceKicks on Instagram.
