This past weekend in Salt Lake City, Jayson Tatum officially debuted his Jordan Tatum 1 as he hit the hardwood for the 2023 NBA All Star Game. Before gametime, he unveiled the sneaker on Instagram alongside his son, Deuce, with the caption reading, “Dreams do come true.”
Jayson and Deuce proudly held up the “Zoo”colorway, which first leaked earlier this year. At the time, Tatum immediately denied the leaks and claimed that the sneaker was “not real.”
Of course, we now know that the sneaker was in fact, real, with Tatum wearing both the “Zoo” and “Pink Lemonade” colorways on-court during the 2023 NBA All Star Game.
The Jordan Tatum 1 debut was a historic night for everyone involved as Tatum set a new record for the All Star Game after he dropped 55 points, beating Anthony Davis’ 2017 scoring record.
Tatum is the first player in NBA history to score 50-plus points in a regular-season game, a playoff game, and now, the NBA All-Star Game.
With the game ending 184-175, Tatum led Team Giannis to victory and even secured the MVP award. The 2023 All Star Game was truly a big moment for both Jordan Brand and Tatum as the Jordan Tatum 1 couldn’t have had a better debut.
The Jordan Tatum 1 officially arrives on April 7, 2023. The sneaker will be release alongside apparel for men, women, and kids, as well as a kids-specific design of the signature sneaker.
