Russell Westbrook joined Jordan Brand just over five years ago in 2013 wearing mostly PEs and supporting the flagship Air Jordan shoe until the arrival of his first signature game shoe, the Jordan Why Not Zero.1. Dropping at the top of next year is his second signature game shoe from the brand – the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2.
His gameplay on the court is about as signature as his arena arrival fashion. Uniquely his style the Why Not Zer0.2 does not disappoint or deviate from his brand of being different, standing out, and being ready to play harder than most of the league’s All-Stars.
Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 – Lateral SideLeaked images that floated around the web earlier this week did the shoes little justice and failed to highlight the craftfully deconstructed approach to the design. A total of four different textile materials hit the upper along with taped toecaps, midfoot TPU eyestays, heel cups, and midfoot plate. With numerous opportunities to place color, this model will surely be coming in some colorways that far depart the norm consistent with the player they represent.
One of the most notable design features is the size tag exposed on the outsole of the shoes through a clear window.
While a number of overseas retailers have pegged the release date of the Jordan Why Not Zer0.2 for January 2, 2019, a US release date has not yet been announced.
Stay tuned!
