There is something undeniably distinctive in regards to JR Smith’s selection of kicks on court. Customarily, one can determine a player’s favorite shoe based on the frequency of a particular model they wear on court, but no, not in JR’s case. It’s impossible to form a conclusion on which silhouette, or signature line for that matter, is most desirable to him on court judging by his Kicks On Court resume this season alone.
Yes, JR’s Kicks On Court rotation was that assorted this year.
“Man, I like so many different shoes,” said JR Smith. “I really like to wear a variety of kicks on the court.”
And that he did. Mr. Smith wore a shoe from seven different signature lines, including Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Penny Hardaway; JR even laced up a pair from the classic Bo Jackson line in the postseason. He also squeezed in 11 different Air Jordan retros throughout the court of the 2012-2013 NBA season.
Yet, the most impressive kicks on court stat from JR’s resume is that he somehow wore 14 different Hyperdunks, whether it be iDs or PEs, this season.
“This year’s Hyperdunks are so crazy and comfortable,” said Smith. “It’s one of my five favorite shoes to play in of all time.”
Additionally, we can’t state JR’s case without a mention of his postseason behavior. The guy rocked a total of 10 different shoes in the Knicks’ 12 playoff games this season, including debuts of the EYBL KD V Elite and the “Superhero” LeBron X Elite.

JR only had two sneaker debuts, but powerful they both were. Also, while King James was busy debuting LeBron X Elite PE after PE, Smith turned heads on the first day of postseason play by rocking the Superhero version that perfectly matched with the Knicks’ uniforms.
