adidas has put in a lot of effort into representing cities all over the world with their Consortium “City Series” Collection, with Tokyo retailers and artists playing a large part. Kalavinka is the next in line with this Samba, having taken a classic soccer shoe and transformed it into a cycling sneaker. White leather comprises the upper on these, with a hit of grey nubuck on the toe cap. Royal blue stripes appear on the mid-panel, and a strip of multiple colors is used on the heel. The design element you probably notice first is the large lace cover flap, which is part of the cycle-readiness conversion of these. These have hit select retailers, including mita. |
