Kanye West is going solo.
The artist & creative, who goes by Ye these days, will be distancing himself and his brand from corporate entities, such as adidas and Gap.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Ye states that he will be taking matters into his own hands.
It’s time for me to go it alone. It’s fine. I made the companies money. The companies made me money. We created ideas that will change apparel forever. Like the round jacket, the Foam Runner, the Slides that have changed the shoe industry.
Now it’s time for Ye to make the new industry. No more companies standing in between me and the audience.

Ye’s exit doesn’t come as a surprise following his litany of complaints via Instagram directed at adidas execs, its current CEO, and others. From the design of the adidas FOM Q which Ye claims rips from the Yeezy Foam Runner to the disapproval of Yeezy Day and other colorways.
Ye’s deals with adidas and Gap end in 2026 and 2030. However, Ye and these brands will have to figure something out in the meantime.
They my new baby mamas. I guess we’re just going to have to co-parent those 350s.
