The Golden State Warriors head back to Oakland tied two games a piece with the Cleveland Cavaliers after getting the split they needed on the road last night. A big part of that, of course, was Steph Curry. Someone who knows this first hand is Kanye West, as he’s been a fixture courtside through much of the 2015 NBA Finals. Though West has not only taken notice of the Davidson alum, he has even gone as far as to say that we would like to be great friends with Curry, and that he would make a great adidas Yeezy athlete.

“I would like to be really great friends with Steph,” West said yesterday in a new impromptu interview with Hot 97. “I think he would be a really great Yeezy athlete. Get rid of them Under Armours right quick.” It really sounds like West wants Curry with adidas. And maybe even more so, could a Yeezy athletic line be in the works? Could signature athletes be a long-term goal for Kanye West and adidas?

When you listen to the interview below, and those comments specifically at the 4:40 minute mark, there is clearly a lighthearted tone to Kanye’s remarks. But you never know, there could be some truth to that “Yeezy athlete” talk. And besides, who wouldn’t want to sign Steph Curry?
