While Nike made their sets of laces to support African AIDS prevention, Puma partnered up with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and artist Kehine Wiley to design a laces set for the “Play for Life” campaign. Benefitting the African movement for a more peaceful continent, the movement circles around unity between African nations. During this year’s African Nations Cup and up to the 2010 World Cup, 12 Puma-sponsored team will wear the same jersey as an alternate set.
