While the early leak of LeBron’s 2-Time Champion kicks may have ruffled a few feathers, Kent Bazemore’s (of NBA bench celebration fame) sneaker commemoration will likely warrant a few chuckles. After being ranked by ESPN as the 499th best player in the NBA (out of 500), Bazemore took to memorializing the ranking by having “499” stitched on the tongue lining of his Under Armour Torch sneakers. Granted, Bazemore only graced the court for an average of 4 minutes this past season, so his body of work for assessing talent may have been limited to say the least, but applause is due for his lighthearted, motivational take on the ranking.
