Kevin Durant and Nike have made history as the Phoenix Suns forward and future Hall of Famer has signed a lifetime deal, as reported initially by Boardroom.
KD enjoys an elite group of basketball players as Michael Jordan (Jordan Brand), LeBron James (Nike), and Steph Curry (Under Armour) have penned lifetime deals with their respective brands.
When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership. We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We’ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I’m excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal.

Durant joined the Swoosh in 2007 as a member of the Seattle Supersonics and has built a franchise through his namesake signature line. With the success of the Nike KD15 and the imminent arrival of the Nike KD16, the lifetime deal also intersects with Nike’s retro treatment of KD classics, like the upcoming Nike KD 4 “Galaxy” from 2012.
The lifetime deal will combine product launches with philanthropy efforts from both parties, Boardroom reports.
