Kevin Durant announced over the weekend that he is officially remaining with Nike, continuing his long tenure wearing Swoosh sneakers. After an array of stories and speculation that the reigning NBA MVP was going to jump ship and join the Under Armour roster, the brand in Beaverton came back with a counteroffer that KD and his camp couldn’t refuse, keeping Durant’s signature series with Nike intact for a long time to come. From his time in high school at Oak Hill and Montrose Christian Academy, to his days in Austin with the Texas Longhorns, and ever since signing with the brand as a rookie in the NBA with the Supersonics and Thunder, the Easy Money Sniper has worn Swoosh and Air Jordan sneakers. In honor of his new deal, take a look back at a chronological timeline of Kevin Durant’s history in Nike shoes.

High School

Kevin Durant’s love for Nike’s largest subsidiary is well-document, as KD is still consistently spotted in Air Jordan sneakers off of the court. Easy Money Sniper’s love for MJ’s kicks started early while the rising star was still in high school. Durant broke onto the scene during his junior year at the famed Oak Hill Academy wearing the Jordan Melo 1.5, then rose to the top of the rankings while playing his senior season at Montrose Christian Academy in the Air Jordan 14. The wiry prep star also wore Swoosh and Jumpman shoes in between, including Shox at Nike’s All-American Camp and the Air Jordan XIX at 5-Star Camp.
