Could the KD VII be the last signature shoe created for Kevin Durant by Nike? If so, the partnership between Nike and Kevin Durant produced some incredible shoes.
For our latest installment of Kick Chronicles, we, the Nice Kicks staff, detail and discuss our favorite Nike KD sneaker ever created. Check out the shoe each of us selected, and share with us your favorite KD of all time.

Nike KD II “All-Star”
I remember we had these in at the Nice Kicks Shop the day of the store’s grand opening. Man, I messed up by not getting them. Of the three All-Star shoes that year (LeBron VII, Kobe V and KD II), Durant’s design definitely had the most off-court capability. Plus, they were the cheapest! I remember the winner of the sweepstakes trip trying them on with some light-wash denim and DJ Clark Kent giving him the thumps up. Not sure if he ended up copping them, but they looked good. Regardless, I didn’t get them and I regret that.
Honestly, I don’t remember a particular KD highlight from that All-Star game or anything, but I just think it’s a hot shoe. All-infrared was ahead of its time, and an icy blue outsole always wins. Also, the woodgrain graphic on that series could be next-generation elephant print years from now. We’ll see.
Sidebar: honorable mention to the “All Star” KD IIIs that my friend Eric Choy got, and the “Stoplight” IIIs my buddy Brent beat up playing basketball outside in. I always thought that was cool.
