Nike Zoom KD IV “Texas”
I’m a Texas alum (undergrad and graduate school) and a huge Longhorn sports fan, so this is easily my favorite KD shoe, with the KD IV “All-Star” in a close second. I pretty much wear them every gameday, and I think they’re hands down the best UT-inspired shoe. The shoe uses the burnt orange and white so well, and the Longhorn logo on the tongue is a perfect touch. Overall, I really like the KD IV because it was a low-top with a strap, and there were so many great colorways, QS and GR.
I was lucky to catch almost all of KD’s home games in college, and you could see him roaming campus in his obscenely-bright Bape camo hoodie. I’ll never forget the A&M game where KD and Acie Law basically traded fall-away 3s back and forth.
