PRO-Keds Royal Master Low Grey

These Pro Keds may be plain Jane boring, but for me, they carry a lot of sentimental value. If you don’t already know by now, I’m not a sneakerhead by any stretch of the imagination. I don’t have a single pair of Jordans or Nikes.  In fact, I don’t even have a pair of Adidas. You’re probably asking yourself, “why is this guy a part of this column?”  That’s a very good question, I ask myself that all the time.
I got these Pro Keds for free from our bossman, Matt Halfhill. They were the first pair of sneakers I got when I started working at Nice Kicks, and I’m quite sure that I wore these 99.7% of the time. I wore these until the outsole detached from the upper. Do you know how much time you have to spend walking in a pair of sneakers for it to do that? I don’t, but I’m sure it’s a lot. These Pro Keds were my first foray into this crazy world of colorful and crazy sneaker designs. I told myself when I started working here that I would never become a sneakerhead, but like Justin Bieber once said, “never say never.”
