For our latest installment of Kick Chronicles, we, the Nice Kicks staff, detail and discuss the one basketball shoe we’d like to see retro. Check out the shoe each of us selected, and share your own stories of the one basketball shoe you’d like to see return to the shelves.

Reebok Wink
If I could have any shoe come back from my childhood that I missed out on, it would be the Reebok Wink. They dropped when I was in seventh grade and my buddy John Galligan had them for hoops. They were a weird-looking shoe then, and they’re even weirder looking now. Nevertheless, it would be ill to hit the hardwood in these. Back in the day, this was Stevie Franchise’s first real shoe. Even now, if I could have anybody’s game, it would be his. Playground handles and track star hops? Sign me up.
Since I missed out on the Winks the first year they dropped, I ended up copping the X-Beams the next year to compensate. What’s wack is I actually had a chance to get the Winks on discount years after they dropped at the local MC Sports, but I passed on them. No clowning around this time and no krumping either. I’d love to see Reebok bring these back and get Steve Francis on the roster just like Shaq and Shawn.
