There has been a ton of sneaker storylines to pay attention to during the NBA’s opening week. LeBron James’ Nike LeBron 8 and Kobe Bryant’s “Ring Ceremony” Kobe Vs were the biggest debuts of the first day, while Durant’s new Nike Zoom Hyperfuse and Derrick Rose’s adiZero Rose stole the show on the second day. As for last night, rookie sensation John Wall played his first NBA game and also made a rather interesting sneaker impact.
Our Kicks On Court spotted John Wall rocking two Reebok Zig Slash PEs in one game. During the first half, John Wall wore a Black/Blue Reebok Zig Slash PE which specifically features a black base, blue Reebok branding and a blue Zig sole. In the second half of Wall’s first NBA game, he wore a White/Blue Reebok Zig Slash PE. In case you didn’t know, John Wall is the lead endorser for Reebok’s one-of-a-kind Zig Slash. Although the Orlando Magic destroyed the Wizards last night, did Wall make a big impact on the sneaker front?
Additionally, Dwight Howard debuted his new signature shoe, the adidas Beast in last night’s home opener. This particular Beast colorway features a white/black base with multiple, personal Dwight Howard characteristics such as Howard’s Twitter/Facebook greeting, ‘Hey Wooooooorld’. View these kicks plus more, worn by Deron Williams, Vince Carter, Grant Hill and others, below.
