Yesterday, the United States celebrated our past war heroes by recognizing the annual Veterans Day. Many showed their recognition by way of Twitter and Facebook; however, Miami Heat players Dwyane Wade and LeBron James showed their support through sneakers. Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see what each player wore in honor of Veterans Day
In a loss against the Boston Celtics, LeBron James laced up the highly anticipated “Veterans Day” “USA” Nike LeBron 8. We have shown you this sneaker on a number of occasions throughout the past couple of months, yet, just yesterday, we learned of its Veterans Day affiliation. Nike Basketball will release this sneaker on November 24th, 2010. As for Dwyane Wade, Jordan Brand laced the Chicago native with two special red, white and blue colorways of the Air Jordan 2010. Dwyane Wade’s first half Air Jordan 2010s featured a navy midfoot with red hints and a mainly white colored base. His second half Air Jordan 2010s possessed a smaller amount of navy, specifically seen on the midsole, window border and piping throughout the upper. No word on when, or if Wade’s sneakers will release. Check out these kicks plus more, worn by Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose, Monta Ellis and others, below.
