Washington Wizards point guard John Wall turned heads during All-Star Weekend by wearing the design contest winning Reebok Zig Slash creation in the Rookie vs Sophomore Game and the Skills Challenge. The former Kentucky Wildcat raised a few more eyebrows with his sneaker selection Tuesday night. Our Kicks On Court spotted a significant change in regards to Wall’s sneaker preference. In a losing effort against the Indiana Pacers, Wall scored 15 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds while wearing the Reebok Question. The Reebok Question was Allen Iverson’s first signature shoe, and it originally released in 1996 (it later retroed in the winter of 2009). If you recall, sneaker enthusiast Gilbert Arenas laced up this blue/gold-white color scheme of the Reebok Question earlier this year against the Milwaukee Bucks.
This marks the first time we have seen John Wall rock something other than the Zig Slash on an NBA court. Could he be getting tired of the Reebok Zig Slash, or is he just paying tribute to Allen Iverson? Could he actually be taking Kobe Bryant’s advice to heart? View these kicks plus more, worn by Nate Robinson, Joe Johnson, Kevin Garnett, Stephen Jackson and others, below.
