We’ve seen a number of custom sneakers this season, but none more intricate and complex as Robin Lopez’s adidas. Since 2014 began, Lopez has sparingly worn self-created, hand-drawn custom adidas shoes, six of which he has already worn during the NBA Playoffs. In last night’s second round opener, Lopez wore a custom adidas Crazy Shadow, which he nicknamed, “Totem.”
“I usually take a sharpie and add something different to my overall creation before each game,” said Lopez, following Portland’s Game 1 loss to San Antonio.
Lopez also mentioned that he plans to make a couple more customs for the Playoffs. Check out the latest episode of Kicks On Court Weekly Recap this Friday in which Lopez details his designs. Also, view more of Lopez’s creations by visiting his Instagram account, @gustogummi88.
