Swaggy P aka Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers had an incredible display showcasing his recent signing with adidas by sporting the ever-so coveted adidas Yeezy Boost 750 during his game against the Houston Rockets. In what grew to be show-stopping fashion, Young would seemingly halt the social media reel and captivate our eyes for the foreseeable future. However, he was not the first player to don a Yeezy inspired makeup during games. In fact, he wasn’t even the first this season.

With that in mind, flip through the pages below of our Kicks On Court Classic column where the first topic at hand is the history of the Yeezy lineage making its way to the NBA hardwood.

Nate Robinson

Model: Nike Air Yeezy 2 “Black/Solar Red”
Date: March 6, 2013
Matchup: Chicago Bulls at San Antonio Spurs
Stat Line: 7 points, 5 assists, 1 rebound

During the 2012-2013 season, Nate Robinson was arguably the Chicago Bulls’ MVP. With Derrick Rose out for the season as he rehabilitated from his torn ACL, Robinson would help bolster the Bulls’ play off of the bench with clutch scoring and timely defense. Playing for one of his favorite childhood teams, Robinson would spend most of the season rocking an array of Chicago Bull colored kicks within the Air Jordan lineage, but on March 6th of that year he decided to take things up a notch.

In fact, the veteran guard sported the Black/Solar Red Nike Air Yeezy 2 during the matchup in San Antonio. Showcasing the gems both prior and during the contest, Robinson was obviously a #KOC staple.
