Two weeks ago, when a number of players debuted Black History Month exclusives on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, every new performance basketball sneakers in Nike’s 2013-2014 lineup was on display except one. The “Black History Month” Nike LeBron 11 was the only Nike signature shoe that failed to make an appearance on MLK Day, while BHM shoes, such as the Soldier VII, HyperRev and KD VI, were spotted on the feet of multiple NBA players. Enter DeMarcus Cousins. Just two weeks after MLK Day, Kings center Cousins became the first player to don the Nike LeBron 11 “BHM” in his return from injury last night.
