Vintage Kobes have been one of the major storylines of the young season so far, especially with Nick Young making his presence felt with the Prelude Pack. However, last year’s Kicks On Court Champion, Derrick Williams, has quietly brought out a couple of the rarest Kobes we’ve ever seen on court. Following his wear of the “Aston Martin” Nike Zoom Kobe V earlier this season, Williams surprisingly laced up the “MLK” version of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV in last night’s win against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The “MLK” Kobe IV was a Quickstrike release in 2009 and is one of the most limited colorways of Bryant’s fourth signature shoe. If you recall, Kobe Bryant himself debuted this sneaker, which features gold reptile print and a gradient effect on the toe box, on MLK Day in 2009. View these kicks on court, plus Jason Thompson’s new NIKEiDs, below.
