Familiar Faces in New Places

October 29 – Los Angeles Clippers at Los Angeles Lakers (NBA on TNT) – Nick Young’s Debut in Laker Land: By now, you know that Nick Young is going to bring a creative element unlike anyone else to the Kicks On Court game. This year may be the toughest for him, as this will be the first team he plays for that doesn’t own a red, white and blue color scheme (Wizards, Clippers, 76ers). He effortlessly brought all kinds of matching sneaker heat to the court as a member of those aforementioned franchises, but purple, white and gold is seemingly a lot tougher. We assume Nick will wear a lot of Kobes, but which ones?

October 30 – Denver at Sacramento Kings – Nate Robinson’s Debut with Denver: Nate Robinson had an incredible season in regards to his kicks on court; he undeniably made the most of his time with the Chicago Bulls by consistently channeling Michael Jordan in black and red. Now, he has a chance to wear all of the shoes Jordan Brand has created that are inspired by MJ’s collegiate career. The Powder Blue of the Nuggets’ color scheme serves as an opportunity to wear many of these beauties.

October 30 – Atlanta at Dallas – Monta Ellis’ Debut with Dallas: Much like Nate Robinson, Monta Ellis has had it easy in Milwaukee. The Bucks’ accent color of Natural Red has allowed him to bring a few of the black and red Jordan classics to the hardwood, but what will he wear with Dallas’ blue and white? French Blue 12s, along with a few Josh Howard player exclusives, initially come to mind.

October 31 – New York at Chicago – Ron Artest’s Debut with New York: Will this be Gilbert Arenas 2.0? We hope Ron Artest returns to the erratic on-court sneaker behavior he possessed in Chicago and Indiana now that he’s back on the East Coast, but that remains to be seen. Hit him up on Twitter to encourage that, please.
