Familiar Faces in Old Places

November 27 – Miami at Cleveland (ESPN) – LeBron James’ Return to Cleveland: Whether you’re a fan of kicks on court or simply just a basketball aficionado, this is a game you must watch. King James has been known to spellbind the Cavaliers’ faithful in his return to The Forest City, and his shoes in this return have also consistently demanded attention. This is also James’ only nationally televised matchup against the Cavs in Cleveland, so it’s unquestionably a must-watch.

February 7 – Los Angeles Lakers at Philadelphia – Nick Young’s Return to Philadelphia: Nick Young loves to create themes in his mind that have everything to do with his kicks on court. Who he’s matched up against, which arena he’s playing in and which week it is (he tried to wear the “Wheat” Nike Air Zoom Generation during the NBA’s Green Week because, to him, it resembles tree bark) all factor in to what he’s wearing on court. Therefore, we must pay attention to what he’s going to wear on court in his return to Philly.

February 21 – Denver at Chicago – Nate Robinson’s Return to Chicago: Nate Robinson is another player who likes to theme his kicks on court around special moments. The guy who once wore “Concord” Air Jordan 11s with the Bulls’ pinstripe uniforms (only because MJ did) should definitely be paid attention to in his return to Chicago.
