The Big Apple

November 3 – Minnesota at New York:  Nike LeBrons made the biggest noise in The Garden this past season, both on and off of King James’ feet. In Minnesota’s only matchup against the Knicks in New York, Derrick Williams opted to return the “Blackout” LeBron VI to the court, a shoe we haven’t seen in on the NBA hardwood in five years before that.

January 9 – Miami at New York (TNT)/February 1 – Miami at New York (ESPN): LeBron James himself turned the most heads in The Garden late last season when he debuted the “Carmex” LeBron X. This is not a first though. King James has been alluring fans of kicks on court in New York for years now. Remember his red apples?

January 26 – Los Angeles Lakers at New York (abc): Nike and Kobe Bryant opted to debut the original colorway of the Nike Kobe 8 in the Lakers’ only visit to The Garden last season. You won’t have to hold your breath this long for a debut of the Nike Kobe 9 this late in the season, but a new colorway is highly likely.
