This season, Knicks guard J.R. Smith has been relatively quiet on the sneaker front in comparison with previous years. However, you should always expect the unexpected with Smith. In last night’s blowout win over the Cavs, Smith became the third player to wear the Nike Kobe 9 on court with the others being Nick Young and Andre Iguodala. Smith not only stood out with his high-top signatures on, but dazzled the crowd with two of the top plays this season: an emphatic dunk after hitting Anthony Bennett with a double crossover and flooring Tristan Thompson with a crossover/step back move. Check out detailed photos plus footage of J.R.’s highlights below.
