Do you remember, in the Chicago Bulls heyday, when Scottie Pippen and Ron Harper hooped in Air Jordan sneakers? Or, recently, when LA Lakers forward Trevor Ariza laced up a pair of Nike Zoom Kobe 4s? It has been a reoccurring theme to see a superstar’s sneakers on one of his teammate’s feet. Does this action mark a sign of greatness? Well, add Lebron James to this select group (as if he’s not already great).

Last night, against the Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers forward J.J. Hickson laced up the Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier 2. Inspired by the Cleveland’s colorway, it featured a predominately white leather upper with navy blue and grey accents. The outsole was also colored in navy blue. If you recall, James wore a U.S.A. version of these for the majority of the Olympic games in Beijing this past summer. Since then, there have been many colorways of this sneaker inspired by a plethora of things such as Ohio State and camouflage.
