Since 2009 began, our Kicks On Court has spotted Detroit Pistons guard Richard Hamilton in a Pistons colorway of the Jordan 6 Rings consistently. However, yesterday afternoon, his regular 6 Rings PEs carried a little more meaning in lieu of what happened to Detroit Pistons ownership team.

Against the Memphis Grizzlies, Richard Hamilton paid tribute to the late Detroit Pistons owner Bill Davidson by permanent marking his sneakers with the words,“We Miss U Mr. D”. Over a predominately white base with blue accents on the sole, tongue and heel, these words spoke loudly to every player on the court. Even though Hamilton’s PEs contain the words “Rip City” as well, it seems as if those words were secondary to the farewell quote from the Detroit shooting guard.
