During the month of April, the NBA collaborates with the National Resource Defense Council (NDRC) to bring an emphasis towards protecting the environment. The partnership produces Green Week, a designated seven consecutive days in which NBA players wear mainly green apparel, including headbands, socks, warmups and of course, sneakers. Over the past few years, player have used the aforementioned week to bring out player exclusives, the latest releases and green-based sneakers from their personal collections.

On the first night of NBA Green Week, Lakers guards Nick Young, Kendall Marshall and Kent Bazemore took to the court in various green shoes. Specifically, Young laced up the 2007-released “Doernbecher” Air Jordan 2, while Marshall debuted the soon-to-be-released “Green Snakeskin” Air Jordan 11 Low. Bazemore, along with Stephen Curry and Will Barton took to the court in green Under Armour Anatomix Spawn PEs, while Carmelo Anthony rocked a new, predominately green Jordan Melo M10.
