Power forward Amar’e Stoudemire faithfully laced up the Nike KD2 towards the end of the 2009-2010 NBA season and all through the 2010 NBA playoffs. Obviously, the former Phoenix Suns star headed east this summer, as he now sports a New York Knicks #1 jersey. However, seeing that the Suns and Knicks color schemes both feature orange, Stoudemire simply opted to wear the same Nike KD2 for his preseason debut with the Knickerbockers. Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see STAT’s sneaker choice.
In a losing effort to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Stoudemire scored 11 points and handed out two assists while wearing the Nike KD2 White/Black-Orange-Yellow. If you recall, this particular KD II was one of the first, general release colorways that surfaced earlier this year. It remains to be seen what other sneakers Amar’e opts to wear with the beloved New York Knicks jerseys.
