“I got so much heat for this season. It ain’t even funny.” – P.J. Tucker

Phoenix Suns forward P.J. Tucker has gotten off to a stunning start in regards to his kicks on court this season. Sneakers, such as the #BeTrue Nike Zoom HyperRev and his Air Jordan XIV Michael Finley PE, have been incredible surprises on his feet so far this year, and according to Tucker, he’s just getting started.

Through one conversation with Tucker, you’d know that the North Carolina native is extremely passionate about each and every shoe he owns, but none may be as important to him as the Air Jordan 8 “Terror Squad” PE that he wore in last night’s game against the Toronto Raptors. This particular PE was created for former NBA player Fred Jones, a good friend and mentor to Tucker, during his 2007-2008 NBA campaign with the New York Knicks. Tucker and Jones were teammates during the 2006-2007 NBA season for the Toronto Raptors, hence Tucker’s decision to wear the TS-stitched PE in the Suns’ lone visit to Canada this season.

Prior to the game, Tucker posted a photo of the PE with a caption that read, “Ok tonight bring back in Toronto I figured I would dedicate this one to my big bro, my vet, one of the guys that showed me how to be a NBA player.. Fred Jones.”
