Rasheed Wallace is known within the sneaker community for two things: technical fouls and Air Force 1s. Over the years, he has been the only player in the NBA to consistently rocked the Air Force 1, one of Nike’s better creations ever. However, in last night’s game 4, Rasheed Wallace entered the game while not wearing the Nike Air Force 1 for the first time in years! Check out today’s Kicks On Court to see what Sheed wore.
Wallace entered the game in the first half wearing the Nike Zoom Sharkalaid, a Nike Basketball sneaker that debuted this past summer. The Nike Zoom Sharkalaid, a basketball sneaker that features a cross strap design, was apart of a couple of Nike Basketball Packs last year such as the “Transformers II” Pack and the “G.I. Joe” Pack. It is safe to say that Rasheed Wallace prefers straps (whether they’re ankle or cross straps) on any sneaker he plays in.
With that said, Sheed didn’t ditch the Nike Air Force 1 Hi totally. He actually laced up a white/black Nike Air Force 1 Hi during the second half of last night’s game. Rasheed Wallace has been wearing the Nike Air Force 1 Hi regularly since 2000, and sneaker enthusiasts all over the world have associated this sneaker with the power forward. View photos of Sheed’s Nike Air Force 1 and his Zoom Sharkalaids below.
