Our Kicks On Court column spotted multiple sneakers on court for the first time this week. Gilbert Arenas laced up the “Taxi” Air Jordan 12 Low just one day after its quickstrike release. Kevin Durant was spotted in a fan-made NikeiD version of the KD III, and Kobe Bryant finally debuted the “China” Nike Zoom Kobe VI. Lastly, Rajon Rondo became the first player to rock the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011, and Nate Robinson pulled out a classic Air Jordan 12 colorway. Check out today’s Kicks On Court Weekly Recap.
Gilbert Arenas has been the first to debut multiple sneakers on the NBA courts. At the beginning of this week, our Kicks On Court spotted the guard rocking the “Taxi” Air Jordan 12 Low just one day after its release. Did you purchase or pass on this shoe?
Last year, Kobe Bryant laced up a one-of-a-kind Zoom Kobe V creation that was designed by the winner of the NikeiD contest winner. This year, Kevin Durant was the benefactor of a lucky fan’s creation. In a game against the Lakers, he laced up a fan-made iD version of the KD III dressed in black, orange and blue.
Following last week’s debut of the “Chaos” Nike Zoom Kobe VI, we spotted Kobe Byrant debuting another colorway of his fifth signature model. This time, we spotted the Black Mamba wearing the “China” Nike Zoom Kobe VI for the first time in a game.
We all know what Rajon Rondo did for the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse during the 2010 NBA Playoffs. Maybe Nike sees a similar execution with the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011. Rondo became the first player in the NBA to rock this shoe on the court. What are your preliminary thoughts on this shoe?
In 2009, Jordan Brand blessed with a few beloved Air Jordan 12 colorways such as the “Flue Game”, the “Nubuck”, the White/Varsity Red and the “Rising Sun”. However, we’re sure you would have been even more happier if this “French Blue” Air Jordan 12 returned as well. We must give props to Nate Robinson for bringing this shoe out.
