Vans looks to continue its work with both legendary and rising rock acts in 2010, starting with two collaborations with pieces. KISS is paid tribute with two pairs, and also seen is a lone shoe designed for rock band Rise Against. For the KISS “Hotter Than Hell” Pack, a Sk8-Hi and a Slip-On were both done with cues from the namesake album’s artwork. The latter shoe displays the band members on the toe, while similar artwork is reserved for the sides of the upper on the Sk8-Hi. Black nubuck finishes off the build off, and a yellow liner appears on both shoes. Rise Against was paid tribute with their own Slip-On, as well. The toe panel displays artist-inspired artwork. Both the KISS pack and the Rise Against shoes should hit retailers sometime soon, as well as the a special t-shirt. |
