Kith presented their Kith Park fashion show last week and since the brand’s in-house fashion show there’s been plenty of talk around upcoming collaborations and the future of brand presentations. As part of the fall and winter collection for 2018, several of the fashion show’s models were seen repping various Vans silhouettes, which are expected to be in collaboration with Japanese streetwear label, mastermind JAPAN.
This will mark the East Coast brand’s first Vans project, as well as their first collaboration with mastermind JAPAN. Several winter-friendly silhouettes emerged, featuring various design elements that look geared to withstand the frigid weather of New York winters.
Two renditions of the Sk8-Hi emerged with a premium leather construction that is each accented with metal hardware and mastermind branding, while one the incorporates a sherpa fleece for warmth. Lastly, the other takes on a deconstructed persona with water-repellent properties.
The Old Skool features a similar layout as the first leather rendition of the Sk8-Hi, while the last silhouette that appeared was the Classic Slip-On, which features a resilient design that reworks the checkerboard pattern into an all-over Kith box logo design. The shoe looks to be treated with a water resistant coating on the upper, while the thicker midsoles are etched with a tonal Old English text that’s repeated throughout.
The Kith x mastermind JAPAN x Vans Collection doesn’t have a release date yet but stay tuned with Nice Kicks for upcoming details on the release which should be coming soon when the temperature starts to dip. Check out detailed images from HYPEBEAST’s Eddie Lee below.
