According to a recent report from ESPN, the late Kobe Bryant had allowed an all-access film crew to document his 20th and final NBA season with the Los Angeles Lakers.

So far it’s unknown when, and if, the documentary will air. However, if the film does see the light of day, it will center on a 37-year-old Bryant and his return to the league after suffering an injury. The documentary will, of course, include footage from the Lakers’ 2015-2016 campaign, which famously ended with Bryant scoring 60 points against the Utah Jazz and his emphatic farewell to the Staples Center crowd saying, “Mamba out” before dropping the mic.

“They had unprecedented and, by far, greater access than anyone else ever,” John Black, 27-year veteran of the Lakers’ public relations department told ESPN. “We certainly allowed them to do everything we could within what the league would allow, and sometimes, with a wink and look-the-other-way, allowed them even more.”

Keep it locked here for further details on this pending Kobe Bryant documentary. The NBA All-Star tragically passed away earlier this January.
