words // Nick DePaula:
As someone that doesn’t even really like wearing Air Maxes casually, I can’t imagine actually playing basketball in the Air Max 1, let alone in a pro game where your team depends on your perimeter defense nightly against the league’s greatest scorers.
Thabo Sefolosha has different ideas.
All season long, the Atlanta Hawks wing has been lacing up the Air Max 1 Mid, a Nike Sportswear mid-cut update to the iconic 1987 running shoe originally designed by Tinker Hatfield.
In total, Thabo has worn six different colorways of the model, and seems to be sticking with them for the long haul — a Kicks On Court oddity indeed. Stay tuned for more random KOC trends we’re noticing, and let us know on Twitter if there’s anything odd you’ve spotted this season.
