The early 2010s saw Nike Basketball on top of the game, giving LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant some of their most memorable on-court kicks in colorways highly sought after for collecting and rocking casually. In recent years, the category has seen a dip of sorts perhaps due to overdoing it, but we’d be remiss to not give the Nike LeBron 15 and its #LeBronWatch program its props.
Digging in the crates for inspiration and letting LeBron debut PE pairs all throughout the season, both the retail releases and What If renderings have captivated Kicks On Court fans all the way up to the postseason. Riding said wave and making it a real thing, @jfefrey has tapped into former teammate Kyrie Irving for a potentially controversial custom that’s definitely dope.
Adding the signature strapping from Uncle Drew’s Nike Kyrie 2 — the model worn by Irving as he downed the Warriors for Cleveland’s championship in 2016 — the subtle but striking update to the LeBron 15 appears both obvious and awesome.
