A thorn in LeBron James‘ side for the last several seasons, Lance Stephenson‘s heel role has now been reversed as he becomes teammates with the Lakers superstar in the offseason.
Since they are teammates, any past beef Stephenson had with James is now officially over. In fact, according to Stephenson, his relationship with James is already so friendly that he can already ask the All-Star forward for his signature kicks.
That’s right, Stephenson wants to wear the Nike LeBron James 16 on the court next season.
From Stephenson’s interview with The Athletic’s Scott Agness:
“I actually talked to him the other day. I asked him for some kicks. [James recently unveiled his newest shoe, the LeBron 16s.] He’s going to send me out some sneakers. And I told him, ‘I’m totally, 100 percent on your side and ready for the season.’”
It was already going to be weird seeing Stephenson on the same team as James but even more so now that he’s going to be wearing LeBrons on the court.
