Followers of Kicks On Court have surely noticed that LeBron James has favored last year’s Nike LeBron X PS Elite model over this year’s Nike LeBron 11. Obviously, many readers have wondered why. King James recently spoke on the subject with ESPN, citing the need to redefine the model so that it better fits his foot.
“I just want to be able to wear them,” James said. “It has been a frustrating process. But obviously, I know that Nike wants to do what’s best. They’re not going to put me out there in harm’s way. So we’re redefining the shoe to fit what’s best for my foot.” James later added, “I could wear them, but they don’t feel as great as I want them to feel. So we’re redefining them, and I feel like this next round is going to be perfect.”
Despite LeBron’s lack of on-court endorsement, market performance is strong for the LeBron 11, with sales up 18% compared to that of LeBron X at this time last year. Keep it locked to Kicks On Court to see what LeBron laces up next.
