The highly-anticipated Miami Heat vs Los Angeles Lakers game is less than 24 hours away, and although many stars will be on the Staples Center hardwood, all eyes will be fixed on the Kobe Bryant-LeBron James matchup. Who knew the superstar’s respective signature sneakers would fuel the fire between this mega matchup on tomorrow?
Recently, Miami Heat small forward LeBron James stated that he had ‘a better shoe’ in regards to his Nike LeBron 8 compared to Kobe Bryant’s Nike Zoom Kobe VI.
“Yeah, it’s a better shoe,” James said today after the Heat’s practice at UCLA. “But we’re all one Nike family.”
Obviously, we expect James to favor his shoe over Bryant’s; after all, it is his shoe. However, was there any other reason for his choice?
“Because it is,” James said. “Because it’s LeBron’s shoe. It’s got my name on it. I take pride in my shoes every year, and I’ve always taken pride in having the best shoe. So they’re going to cost a little more if you decide to wear them.”
At this time, no Kobe Bryant comments have surfaced pertaining to this subject matter.
Besides the game, Kobe Bryant will debut his newly-designed Nike Zoom Kobe VI on court, while LeBron James will use the game as a ‘first look’ at the Nike LeBron 8 V2.
