When LeBron James opened up his I Promise charter school in Ohio he meant what he said.
Walking the walk himself, his students will now walk a mile in his shoes as he’s donated 800 pairs of Nike LeBron 16s for the start of the school year and the start of the season.
Smiling students are seen in photos from the LeBron James Family Foundation as posted above and below and they have a lot to smile about. Getting free kicks is always a joy, but it’s pretty special when they’re from King James himself.
These are some hot shoes too! Medicine Ball 16s, Harlem Fashion Row 16s and MPLS 16s were all given out to the kids for free. So awesome.
Props to LeBron! While this will certainly inspire the students to achieve maybe it will start a trend of more athletes/brands donating discontinued sneakers to those in need as they roll out the launch of their new models. Just an idea.
Way to be, Bron.
