Everybody is impatiently awaiting LeBron’s next move as a professional basketball player. Will he re-sign with the Cavs or bring his game to the New York Knicks? According to Nike’s “Rumor Pack”, he may just sign with the Cleveland Browns or go overseas and play for the CSKA Moscow. Whether LeBron James re-signs with the Cavs or plays somewhere else, you will continue to see him lace up the Nikes.
LeBron James and Nike agreed to a new deal just yesterday. ?LeBron James is one of the world?s best basketball players and a global sports icon that has transcended generations and cultures,? Nike spokesman Kejuan Wilkins said. ?Nike?s relationship with LeBron has created innovative basketball products and captivating campaigns. We?re proud to continue our partnership with him for years to come.?
At press time, terms of the deal were not released; yet, James? business partner Maverick Carter stated that the new agreement is longer? than LeBron’s last deal with Nike. If you recall, Nike signed LeBron to a seven-year, $93 million contract in May of 2003. We must applaud Nike for extending a fruitful relationship with one of, if not the best basketball player in the game.
