While NBA All-Star Weekend was as much about hoops as it was about partying and nightlife in New York City, some of the NBA’s brightest stars used their time in the Big Apple to make an impact on the local community. LeBron James and his foundation, the LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF), teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of America to refurbish a community center in Harlem. James unveiled a refurbished gymnasium at the Boys & Girls Club in New York, including a refinished floor, new score board and fresh paint, as well as an upgraded computer clubhouse.
James also took this opportunity to answer questions from some of the fans in attendance and a few of his Facebook amigos. In the discussion he revealed that he enjoys karaoke, remains motivated by his wife and kids, his mother, and the kids that look to him for inspiration. With the help of Facebook and Sprite, James is reaching out to fans in an authentic and impactful way. See what we mean in the video here.
