Making his first public appearance wearing Lakers hues of purple and gold, LeBron James pulled up for a courtside view of his newest teammates during the NBA’s annual Summer League.
Upon arrival, the internet was abuzz as James paired a $500 pair of JustDon x Mitchell & Ness Lakers shorts with a player exclusive edition of the Nike Air Zoom Generation Retro. Styled in all-purple suede and featuring the same fireproof material from Nascar driver Denny Hamlin’s racing suits, the regal AZGs have indeed been seen a month ago, during James’ arrival for Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
Since his subsequent move to Los Angeles, the colorway has taken on even more interest, with many hoping they’ll eventually release as part of a celebratory launch for his upcoming season with the Lakers. Check out the purple pair in detail below, and we’ll be sure to update you if and when any official launch details come about.
